One week sailing along the shores of the Island cradle of deep water solo, the Mecca of this wonderful and different way of approaching rock climbing: you just climb, no harness, no quick draws, no rope! Just your bathing suit, climbing shoes and chalk bag…and if you fall? No worries. The sea of the Balearic Islands will be there catching you as the softest and more refreshing crash pad you can ever immagine.

Special Guest onboard:

Daila Ojeda (professional world class climber)
and
Paolo Sartori (professional outdoor photographer)

Saturday the 20th
Arrival in Palma de Mallorca.
Meeting point is in Palma’s harbor. Check-in after 18:00.
Accommodation and organization of the boat for the week.

Sunday the 21th , Ferrera bay
Early wake up followed by morning sailing along Mallorca’s shores to arrive by noon at Ferrera’s bay. The place is ideal to approach deep-water solo in fact the sector named Santanyi has many easy routes on which beginners or expert climbers can have their first approach with the discipline.
The options there are just endless: crimps, holes, slopers, overhanging and vertical cliffs.
We will drop the anchor and spend the night there.

Monday the 22nd , Varques bay
Also known as the legendary “Camp 4” of the island, this wonderful beach is the favorite camping spot for climbers visiting the island. We will drop the anchor right in front of the beach. There we will also find a great choice of climbing routes: some short and easy ones (up to 10-15 meters) and some hard ones even higher!

Tuesday the 23rd , Porto Cristo
Mooring our boat in the natural harbor of Porto Cristo will allow us to easily access “Cova del Diable” and “Torre del Falcons”.

Wednesday the 24th , Porto Colom
The climbing spot by the lighthouse has some easy routes which aren’t higher than 8m. and have easy foot exit on top. The bravest will anyway find some hard and long routes even there.
We will than decide if to spend the night in port or in a bay close by.

Thursday the 25th, Sa Nau Bay
Today we will sail quiet a bit to get to Sa Nau Bay. They say here you can find some of the best climbing on the island, mostly on holes…of any dimension!

Friday the 26th, Es Pontas and Porto Pi
Could we miss the famous line on the arch of Es Pontas climbed by Chris Sharma? Of course not!
In the area there are also lines for common humans as we are, therefore fun will be guaranteed for everyone. On our way back we will stop at Porto Pi. The site has an historical interest for the climbing community since rock climbing on the island started there in the early 80’s.
We must return to Palma’s harbor by 18:00.
Good-by Dinner at restaurant in Palma’s downtown.

Saturday the 27th
Disembark in the morning before 9.00 a.m.
